V-Day Sp: Sizzling Couples in Love

It is that amorous time of the year again where expressing your love is a compulsion. With Valentine's Day just around the corner, we bring you Bollywood's hottest couples who haven't tied the knot as yet.

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan: They are Bollywood royalty. She is a Kapoor and his father is the Nawab of Pataudi. She is a flawless beauty and he is drop-dead-hot and handsome. Together they make a madly-in-love couple with crackling chemistry. It was on the sets of the disastrous Tashan that their romance blossomed. Kareena looked so gorgeous in the movie that Saif couldn't help but be drawn to her. They have eyes only for each other and aren't afraid of showing how much they adore one another. You want to fall in love just looking at them. Saif wants to tie the knot now but Bebo's saying 'not now'.

Bipasha Basu and John Abraham: Dating for over five years now, this sizzling twosome has stood the test of time. Romance blossomed on the sets of Aetbaar and the two set the screen on fire with their unrestrained passion in Jism. The good looking fitness freaks complement each other really well. She is a smokin' hot Bong tigress and he is a Bawa boy with the body of a Greek God. They are a mature couple who have left their PDA days behind and are too secure about each other to be affected by malicious rumours.

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone: Ah, young love. She is a leggy supermodel-turned-actress with enchanting doe eyes. He is Bollywood’s Prince Charming who could sweep any girl off her feet. It was a double whammy for them at the Filmfare Awards in 2008. Not only did they win best debut awards, they also secured each other's affection. The two bonded in picturesque Australia while shooting for Bachna Ae Haseeno. The photogenic twosome is so much in love that they cannot keep their hands off each other, even in public.

Shahid Kapur and Priyanka Chopra: These two, who will feature together in Kaminay, are rumoured to be going out. And they have adorable nicknames for each other: Peefee and Shaks. They share a hot kiss in the film so it’s no wonder a hot romance started off-screen too. Priyanka was having a hard time with Harman and Shahid wasn't really dating anyone after his breakup with Kareena. They stay in the same building and spent a lot of time bonding on and off the sets. The two are fiercely private people so the relationship is still under wraps. But their chemistry in Kaminay will surely tell us all that we need to know.

Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia: She is vivaciously beautiful and he is dashingly debonair. Preity has gone from bubbly to sophisticate ever since she started attending upscale society dos with her good looking boyfriend. They mix business with pleasure as they own a cricket team together and Ness accompanies Preity on her shoots. They aren't into PDA but their sweet gestures such as feeding each other during matches show that they have eyes only for each other.

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif: He is over 40, she is over 20 and they are madly in love with each other, though they may not show it. She is a beautiful in-demand newbie in Bollywood while he is the handsome established superstar. Being Salman Khan's girlfriend is not easy, but the composed and dignified lady Kat is, she has managed to play that role with aplomb. Apparently, his family loves Kat too and Salman hasn't been so smitten by anyone before. He wants to settle down but she is in no hurry to with her burgeoning career. Will they or won't they? We will have to wait and watch.

Jab we meet… on Facebook

Priyanka Chopra is back with a bang, not just on professional front but on the personal as well.

After her break up with Harman, there seems to be a love story developing between her and Shahid Kapur.

The two are co-starring in the film “Kaminey” and live in the same building in Versova. But there’s more that the two seem to be sharing – chats on the phone and messages via the popular social networking site Facebook.

Priyanka, who is presently in Chicago shooting for “What’s Your Rashee”, is said to be a Facebook addict and has been seen off late exchanging messages with Shahid. They have been writing on each other’s walls and poking each other virtually.

However, in order to avoid being recognised, both have reportedly taken on different names. Priyanka calls herself Sir Pranks-A-Lot and Shaks is her name for Shahid, who in turn refers to Priyanka as Peefee!

I would like to work with Kareena again

Shahid Kapur says he doesn't mind working with ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor if a filmmaker wanted him to.

“I would like to work with her again. I feel that as an actor if my producer wants me to romance with a cow or a buffalo also, I'll do it because that's my job,” Shahid said on Zee News' celebrity chat show “Kahiye Janab”.

Shahid and Kareena teamed up for three films. While "Fida" and "Chup Chup Ke" bombed at the box office, "Jab We Met" was a blockbuster. Sadly, their relationship soured while shooting for this romantic comedy.

Now Shahid is linked with India's tennis star Sania Mirza.

Asked about Sania, he said: “She is a very good friend of mine, but I don't want to discuss my personal life.”

Will Milenge Milenge ever see the light of day

When will the Shahid-Kareena starer Milenge Milenge release? The film was slated to come out while the duo was still a couple but, along with their relationship going kaput, the film too seems to have vanished into thin air.

We asked director Satish Kaushik about the status of the movie. He says, “Bilkul dekh payenge. It’s going to release this year though a date has not been decided on yet. There is a bit of dubbing left. I am working hard to get it done.”

And are Shahid and Kareena comfortable working together on the dubbing? Kaushik says, “Why not? There was no problem earlier when the couple had split up. Also, dubbing does not necessarily need the both of them in the studio at once. It can be done separately. And it is underway so right now I feel stress-free.”

It has been almost four years since shooting for Milenge Milenge began and Salman Khan has also backed out of his role in the film. Kaushik says, “Backing out of films and being replaced is part of the film industry so it does not matter much. Sometimes, films take years to release. Some movies don’t release even after completion. But Milenge Milenge is finally shaping up after so much financial struggle.”

Boney Kapoor is producing the film. We asked Kaushik what Boney’s reaction is to the long delay. He says, “A film is very important for a producer because he is investing a lot of money in it. And when it keeps getting pushed back there is bound to be some tension. But Boney is always calm and remains optimistic about the project.”

Kaushik describes Milenge Milenge as “a fantastic romantic film, which has a completely different storyline. You’ll have to wait and see.”

Just as we waited and saw Karzzz, Kaushik? “It happens. Just lets watch how this film does now. So many big movies don't work at the box office – Karzzz was one of them,” says Kaushik.

Who's Shahid riding with

Bollywood’s Prince Charming, Shahid Kapoor can’t get away from his fans, especially girls.

The actor who has bought himself a new bike has been biking a lot these days especially at nights and also while going for his shoots. Well, it was during one of these rides that he was mobbed by his fans. “Both, Shahid and his new bike got a lot of compliments.

One girl even insisted on a bike ride,” says a friend of the actor. However, the actor couldn’t comply with the request. But this isn’t first time such an incidence has occurred, we hear, the situation almost got out of control when the actor was attending a press conference in Delhi recently. It’s good to be popular, isn’t it Shahid?

Shahid’s using swear words

He’s looking like a million bucks these days.

But, the uber-polite gentleman, Shahid Kapur, has shown us what he is capable of when push comes to shove. Apparently, the actor has to say umpteen swear-words in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Kaminey.

We’re sure it wasn’t the most comfortable thing for the suave and sophisticated SK! But according to reports, he’s managed his gaalis so well in the film that Bhardwaj is maha-impressed. Well, let’s hope the Censor Board is as impressed and doesn’t cut a long story short!

Pioneer signs Shahid, 'the youth icon'

Shahid Kapur was in New Delhi recently to announce his association with the electronics brand Pioneer.

Says Shahid: "I have always felt the need to attach myself to brands that exemplify the core values that I try to live up to in everyday life - growth, innovation, professionalism and touching people's heart."

Says a source: "Shahid has been signed as the brand ambassador for Pioneer. Apparently it’s for their music systems because Shahid is synonymous with music and fun, and the youth. This line caters to the youth that spends most of their time listening to music. The actor has signed the deal for a whopping price!”

Shahid wants to be 'best among best'

Bollywood eye candy Shahid Kapur says he only wants to compete with the crème-de-la-crème in the industry.

"Why should I compete with any one person? I would like to compete with the best and want to be the best among the best. That is where I want to reach ultimately," Shahid told IANS.

However, the actor doesn't mean competition in the literal sense.

"A lot of times I see a great performance and get inspired to work better. I feel competition is a wrong term, I think it's more about professional camaraderie and appreciation of someone's work and finding reasons to work harder the next day," he added.

I'm excited to be working with Rani

Bollywood's boy-next-door Shahid Kapur, who is working on his first film under the Yash Raj banner, is all praise for his co-star in the film, Rani Mukerji.

"I'm excited to be working with Rani. I have seen so many performances of hers and actually felt - 'Now, that's a performance!'. So working with an actor who has done such good work can be a great learning experience," Shahid told IANS in an interview.

The young actor, who has been riding high on his success post hit film "Jab We Met", is delighted by his association with Yash Raj Films, the most sought after banner of the Hindi film industry.

"Only when you work in a Yash Raj film, you understand why people want to get associated with the banner," said Shahid. The as-yet-untitled film is under production.

"Their way of functioning is so professional. The kind of respect that is given to you, the way you are treated and the way work is done is just a fabulous experience," he added. He was recently in New Delhi as the brand ambassador of Pioneer, electronic car audio and home theatre entertainment products.

Starting off his career by working in music videos and advertisements, Shahid made his Bollywood debut as a background dancer in Subhash Ghai's "Taal". After four years, he made his debut as a lead actor in "Ishq Vishk", after which he got associated with films like "Fida", "36 China Town", "Chup Chup Ke", "Vivah" and the highly lauded "Jab We Met", among others.

Born to acclaimed actors Pankaj Kapur and Neelima Azeem, Shahid says he is "fortunate" that he will soon be directed by his father, something that he always wished.

So is he nervous or excited about the project?

"A little of both. I consider myself very fortunate because I feel my father is the best actor in the industry - not one of the best. And to be directed by an actor who has worked for 30 years is simply great."

"He is stepping down from acting for a few months to direct a film just for me. But I'll make sure that he continues his acting after that, because he is just so good that it's always a learning experience to see him on screen," said Shahid.

The actor's upcoming film "Kaminay", directed by Vishal Bharadwaj, has attracted a lot of attention because of its unusual title and the efforts to keep Shahid's look under wraps. Shahid has said it is the "role of a lifetime" for him.

"I think Vishal is one of the best directors I have worked with. Honestly, he has offered me the role of a lifetime. I feel very lucky that he chose me to do this part. It's a very difficult and challenging part, however, very exciting at the same time and different from what I have done so far in my career," elucidated the actor.

The actor is also doing his second film with director Ken Ghosh.

In spite of being one of the best dancers in Hindi filmdom, Shahid was extremely nervous before learning a new dance form called Krumping for Ghosh's film "Yahoo".

He said: "I am a huge fan of Justin Timberlake. I remember the first day of rehearsals with Justin's choreographer Marty, suddenly I started getting sweaty hands and became nervous."

"I was feeling that it's very nice to see the videos of people and say that we too can dance like them. But when you actually get down to do that, it does make you feel a little nervous," said Shahid.

Priyanka: Don't ask me about Harman

Yes Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja have called it quits. And yes PC and co-star Shahid Kapoor are said to be getting quite close to one another. But right now we are only talking about an on-screen lip lock between Shahid and Priyanka. The Desi girl who likes to play the straight and narrow is planning to go full throttle in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Kaminay. She has agreed for a lip lock and a love making scene in the script.

“I can’t really give you all the details but yes I have done a little bit more than usual in this film. I do have a kiss with Shahid and also some love making scenes in this film with Shahid,” admits Priyanka.

Priyanka was earlier approached for a kissing scene opposite ex-Beau Harman Baweja in Love Story 2050 which she had shot down right at the start. Even in Fashion where she does have some intimate scenes with Arbaaz Khan and Arjan Bajwa, the actress had asked for director Madhur Bhandarkar to tone down the scenes. But now for Shahid it looks like Priyanka has a whole new set of rules!

When asked if this had anything to do with her newly acquired single status, the actress simply says, "Don't ask me about Harman. I haven't spoken about my personal life earlier. And I won't do it now."

The actress seems to be in awe of her director Vishal who has managed to extract such a bold sequence from her.

“Vishal Bharadwaj is known as a serious filmmaker. But I enjoyed working with him the most! It's a very good experience to work with this whole new star cast,” says Chopra.

Bollywood biggies' look revealed

It's known that Director Mani Ratnam is maintaining tight security on the sets of his upcoming film RAVANA and also lots of secrecy so as to not reveal the star cast - Aishwarya Rai & Abhishek Bachchan's look in the film.

It seems like now our longtime inquisitiveness about the look of the star cast in RAVANA is fulfilled. Recently Abhishek was spotted along with wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in his new short hair look at one of the events.

It is being said that this could be Abhishek's look in the film.

Seems like short hair is the new demand of the tinsel fashion. A few days back even Shah Rukh was seen sporting shorthair look which as per the reports Shah Rukh will be seen sporting in Kjo's upcoming MY NAME IS KHAN.

Also, the cutest hunk of Bollywood, Shahid Kapoor, who has been keeping away from the media glare and maintaining a relatively low profile for quite sometime now, is sported in a very trendy new hairdo. Recently, he made an appearance in one of the events with his new look and it is being held that this could be his much touted look in the film KAMINAY.
