The mounting cross border tension does not seem to be affecting filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. In fact, it seems he is trying to ease the tension and establish friendly ties Pakistan.According to sources, Sanjay wants to sign Pakistani hero Imran Abbas for his forthcoming directorial venture “Heera Mandi”.
Heera Mandi is a renowned red light area in the Pakistani city of Lahore.
Sources close to Bhansali say that nothing has been finalised as yet but they are looking forward to signing Imran Abbas as Sanjay is quite impressed by him. Another reason for wanting to cast a Pakistani hero is that the film’s subject, Heera Mandi, is Pakistani.
The movie is also likely to star big names from Bollywood, namely, Madhuri Dixit, Rani Mukerji and Sonam Kapoor.
When contacted, Sanjay refused to give out any details about the casting and simply said that the casting is pending.
