Oh what a swanky scene at Ayusi Mahajan's art exhibit, held last night in the uber posh five-star Leela Hotel in Mumbai night last. The event that showcased the work of the already flourishing artist, Ayushi Mahajan, probably became a bigger success with the appearance of the gorgeous Bollywood actress and former Miss World winner, Priyanka Chopra. The event was purely put together to display and promote the art of the talented Ayushi Mahajan whose pieces featured at the show ranged from beautiful, calm, cool and tranquil realistic nature scenes which included sunsets and beaches to bright and bold modern, minimalistic, paint splattered art.
Priyanka Chopra look in comparison to the brilliant colors used in the paintings was toned down for the show as it has so obviously been in the last few appearances the actress has made this past week. Priyanka who is normally not quite conservative with her clothing and make-up whether for movies or for other occasions, decided to wear two similar outfits for the artist's show as she did for her father Dr. Ashok Chopra's clinic launch just two days before.
Although many people are criticizing the actress for not putting enough thought and imagination into the way she has been dressing, Priyanka's short-sleeved fitted shirts and pencil skirts matched with simple make-up, and red pointy heels in the case of the art show, were probably the most proper attire that were in keeping with the nature of the two events.
Regardless of what the actress wears, she clearly draws a crowd and attention of all who attend see her, which for Ayushi Mahajan's art show included cameramen and onlookers who watched as Priyanka Chopra smiled happily and posed next to Ayushi Mahajan art. One has to wonder if Priyanka Chopra decided to purchase anything to support the artist's work, regardless, the rising artist probably appreciated her presence as much as he would money. So did people show up for the art or Priyanka?
