“Chandni Chowk To China” had generated immense pre-release hype and was predicted to surpass even the record-breaking run of “Ghajini” at the box office.However, the Akshay Kumar-Deepika Padukone starrer, which opened in India on January 16, has not impressed film critics.
Almost all the reviews have slammed “Chandni Chowk To China”, with most critics giving the film a low rating of 2 stars or below.
“Not enough light-hearted fun in C2C, you are hardly ever amused," writes Deepa Gahlot.
"One wishes Nikhil Advani had fine-cooked the script and screenplay a bit more before serving it. This comedy film does not evoke any laughs," writes Sarita Tanwar of Mid-Day.
Maynak Shekhar of Mumbai Mirror gave only one and half stars and called the movie, "Such bull in a china-shop!"
